Rajagopal Lagadapati
(1980-84 batch) |
Rajagopal Lagadapati, after the graduation,
has started off
with state and central government
infrastructure development projects. Under his
leadership, the LANCO group has started
several industries such as pig
iron plant in Chittoor, Power
plant at Kondapalli, castings unit, software
division, bio mass unit and
construction companies. As an industrialist, Rajagopal
he not only brought to life several
industries, but created job opportunities to
thousands of people both directly &
indirectly.
In the year 2003, he joined politics and
elected as Member of Parliament to Lok Sabha
from Vijayawada Constituency. |

Ram Gopal Varma
(1977-83
batch) |
Ram Gopal Varma, before taking up a career initially as the
owner of a video shop and then became one of
India's leading film directors. He was
known more as a big movie buff during his
college days and used to analytically watch
both American and Indian films through repeat
viewings. He and his uncle were crazy about
movies and would often skip classes to watch
them in spite of beatings from his mother. He
has his own style, and doesn’t have any
influences. He does not bother much about
reviewers and film awards |

Veeramachaneni Ram Babu joined M/s. ACC
Limited in January 1995 working since last 12
years in various capacities as Superintending
Engineer, Manager & presently as Sr. Manager
in Project Management of Environment Equipment
Group - Technical Support Services located at
Thane (Mumbai). It gave him profound
professional satisfaction to be associated
with the field of Air Pollution Control
especially in the present scenario where the
global warming and air pollution is reaching
unmanageable proportions.
He was the Mess Secretary in the College
Hostel during the Ist Year & President of
Students’ Union in the III year. Thereafter,
he worked for 12 years with M/s. A.P. Heavy
Machinery & Engineering Ltd., Kondapalli,
Vijayawada from September 1982 to December
1984, as Engineer Trainee, Engineer, Dy.
Manager & Manager, in Design & Project
Management of Air Pollution Control Equipment. |

(1977-81
batch) |
R.A.R.Prakasa Rao, joined in Praga Tools Ltd
in 1985, worked till 1995 and then shifted to
Tata Cummins Ltd as a Senior General
Manager-Mfg. Engg. After completing his B.E.
in 1981, he finished M.E in 1984 from PSG
College of Technology, TPM Instructor in 1999
from JIPM, Japan, Six Sigma Master Black Belt
in 2003 from Cummins Inc., USA, and One Year
Business Leaders Programme in 2005 from IIMC.
He got good experience in Process Planning,
Production & Maintenance, Project Planning,
Co-ordination & Execution, Tooling and
Programming on CNC machines. He got
Professional Life Membership in The Institute
of Engineers( India) and also represented the
country at INDIA INWARD MISSION to U.K
